The popular resale platform has updated its sizing categories for women's and children's clothes failing to inform every member regarding the update. Social Media Reaction Many shoppers and sellers are posting online saying Vinted listings now show a different size category versus the original listing because of the remapping. The platform stated the revised method more closely matches other platforms. It has advised users to examine their items and adjust the sizing manually where appropriate, resulting in member annoyance. Measurement Approach Modifications Previously, the measurements included one number and one letter, for instance S/8 or M/10. The revised method features a letter and a range such as S/UK 8-10. With some products, the size labels have been reassigned - like an L measurement used to be a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18. Member Stories Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder". "Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. A different member, from Glasgow, said garments she listed on Vinted with size 14 labels were displaying on the service as size 20–22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they're going to be very disappointed," she said. Necessary Adjustments Another shopper, from Derby, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the measurements for "each individual item". "Personally, this is quite irritating, because of my ongoing medical condition and selling on Vinted has been paramount for me since losing part of my income," she explained.
